Closing Up Shop Early

No, you are not hallucinating. Everything just disappeared for a reason - someone managed to wipe the bacon grease off his fingers long enough to tell Blogger to shut down the Companion Site. Sorry the site had to shut down earlier than planned. Outtie is now playing at www.anarchygossip.blogspot.com

      Agreed. Some people were going to both sites still, and others choosing one or the other. They can better access the hits (and potential advertising) by consolidating. Plus it had to be a headache to be posting every 15 minutes on both.

    I meant to post this last week upon the Anarchy announcement— It was both cute and hilarious that Enty suggested he'd contacted "lawyers" regarding CDAN Companion. I didn't know Blogger customer service were lawyers!

      @Kat, I have the same issues with Twitter. Sometimes I'll see a tweet and then it's gone, or someone favorites and then unfavorites and then retweets and I'm all... "what just happened?!"

      I left a comment as Probably Deleted Commenter on CDaN's awesome new layout that is basically the same layout with a different background color. This is how we define "the best website on the planet", Entern?

    I really loved CDAN, and Enty was always so nice the few times I sent him emails. 'Tis an end of an era for me. I found CDAN a couple of months after startup. This is sad.

      You were on CDaN when I started reading it Brenda. I guess that makes you one of the originals. It is sad to see what it once was and what it is now. The last time I was there there weren't any more than five or six comments on most of the Random Photos...and ironically most of them were complaints about the site.

    Call me naive but I don't see how posting on Anarchy helps CDAN. And there are no ads at the new site. Thank to Outtie for creating another warm fluffy place to land and chat. See everyone there and it's so great to see once silent lurkers adding to the fun.

    I only use feedly to view cdan now. Went back for one blind item to check comments but the site was still not viewer friendly.
